Auto backup

Auto backup makes it easy to protect your data. You can set it up once and be confident that from that point forward, your precious videos, photos, and files are being backed up from your mobile phone to a storage device.

Knowing that your files are backed up, you can delete them from your phone if you run out of storage. For example, while on vacation, you can record long videos and once you’ve verified that they’ve been backed up, you can delete them to make space for more.

Note: By default, EdgeRover automatically backs up only when you’re connected to a Wi-Fi network to ensure you don’t use up all of your cellular plan’s data allowance.

To set up regular backups:

  1. Tap the Me tab.
  2. Tap Auto backup.
  3. Tap the Auto backup toggle on/off switch.
  4. Tap the folders you want to be backed up. Your photos and videos are automatically backed up, so there’s no need to include those.
  5. Tap the Use cellular data toggle on/off switch to allow your cellular data connection to send backups to your storage device.
Note: Data charges might apply.
  1. Tap the target device, and then tap Continue.

Congratulations, you’ve now set up auto backup.
